Huge Explosion Hits Chemical Warehouse in Eastern China, Casualties Unknown

A huge explosion has hit a chemical plant in China's eastern region of Shandong. At least 8 people were injured.

The explosion occurred at a factory of Runxing Chemical company around 8.50pm local time in Huantai county in Shandong province, Xinhua reported. The blast has triggered a massive fire. A dozen fire engines are battling the fire, according to the eywitnesses. Ambulance arreved at the scene.
The chemical plant is located near residetial area. Windows were shattered in the nearest village, according to the state media, and tremors reverberated within 2 kilometres (1 mile) of the site of the explosion. Unidentified objects are seen in the air.
The explosion happened after two huge blasts at Tianjin port.
On August 12, two major explosions occurred at industrial warehouses in the port city of Tianjin, followed by a fire, were triggered by flammable goods stored alongside hazardous chemicals such as sodium cyanide. The death toll from the explosion has reached 114.
